Inspired by the visual feast provided in Vincent Ward’s film: ‘What dreams may come’ and an interest in macro photography, I embarked on a project to produce a set of colour rich images, combining flowers and foliage from different seasons.

This selection is from series entitled ‘Floral dreams’. Some of the images combine flowers from different seasons, so therefore would not usually be seen together. It is an abstract view of colours given by nature across the year. I want the viewer to be lost in the images, lost in a dream of vibrant, saturated world, no matter what their real surroundings or environment might be. As someone who has suffered from Anxiety and depression and as an advocate for raising awareness of mental health issues, I also want the escapism in viewing the images to be visual stimulation therapy.
